Insulin Made Simple by a Diabetic Pharmacist
Here is Australia you can buy those for around $7 for 2 tablets if you gey a pharmacy generic. Most people dose their family so you can buy packs of 6 for around $18.
my mom takes medications that are over 300 dollars before insurance, and then she pays about 7 dollars after insurance, its all just a huge scam
Im hoping to become a general pharmacist, soon ill start college so ill let you know how it goes
I have a question about salaries for pharmacists: Do community pharmacists get paid more than hospital pharmacists?
Would love to see a review compared to libre 2+. I’ve just started on Omnipod 5 with libre 2+ and finding it rather difficult. Connection is terrible and really limiting site rotation options for me. Thinking of going down the DIY route with Dexcom one plus
hi mam after doing MSc pharmaceutical chemistry ...then I'm eligible for OSPAP
Now I know why one of our patient is on Targinact!
Yeah interleukin II inhibitor is the most important one
I've had the omnipod 5 with G6 for a year. My Hba1c is 4.2, the best its ever been in 22 years. For me though every sensor starts to fail from day 8, tells me I'm low all day so I don't get the insulin i need, or it drops in and out of connection. And with g6 the compression lows are annoying! With the g6 it doesnt need to be so close, mine are legs and arms apart. Just a quick one with being out and you don't know the carb value, theres an app called Nutracheck. it's free, it'll ask if you want to sign up for a subscription, you don't do anything. This was shown to me by my dietician. And its got everything on there.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the OP5 and FL2+. I haven’t seen any other user experiences with this combo. I’m thinking of switching to the FL2+ but I might hold off after watching your vid. I have pretty consistent glucose readings with the G6 and I’ve init had to calibrate a few times since starting it in Dec ‘23. It’s a shame though as I was hoping to switch from the G6 and save money! They say the sensor and pod need to be on the same side of the body, but with the G6 I’m able to have them for example on my left inner thigh and right arm and they communicate just fine. Also try pinching around the infusion site when the cannula is being inserted and it may sting less
Hi, Thanks for sharing. I have onnipod 5 and waiting for the libre to be updated on my prescription…. but my question is… Did you need a new PDM? I dont have the option to choose the libre as a sensor on my PDM, Only the dexcom! Did the device update or is there something else?? Thanks!
I have previously had I/v Vancomycin in hospital, with no reaction. Two months ago, on a non-urgent admission to treat cellulitis in my lower legs, I was given a Vancomycin drip of 500 ml to be over 3 hours. Alas after a few minutes and just 12 ml of the drug, I had a severe anaphylactic shock. I had difficulty breathing, but no red-man syndrome. I was given 2 injections of epinephrine (adrenaline) (I weigh 140 kg) and had 2 hours on an oxygen mask - though no cardiac problem. A frightening experience that I felt potentially life-threatening (I’m a man aged 74). When I recovered, I remembered that I had previously had a similar reaction in hospital 2 years ago - that time, staff had stopped the drip soon after it started. I’ve now added Vancomycin to the Penicillin, Amoxicillin, Keflex and Isoniazid allergies I’ve already listed on the Emergency Alert card I carry in my wallet (Kym in Darwin, Australia).
So i am not alone😅
Weird question dude, do you feel the insulin going in when it does the insulin?
Not a weird question at all! When inserting, there is a slight sting. When I am giving a large dose for a large meal then the sting is much more noticeable!
Read labels and ask if your on universal credit is a five year course lmaooo
Thank you for your educated comment 😊
behind every doctor is a pharmacist checking they're doing it right
I mean what do pharmacists actually do?... they dont prescribe the drugs... so what do they need to know other than english so they can read the labels
I was a pharmacy dispenser 😂 I kinda agree cause a pharmacist is basically the highest one you can be if you think about it they are doctors,.but I did all the measurements, packaging, labeling, check addresses and how many tablets etc, and obviously check my own work, pharmacist basically double checked everything I did and I got in crap if it was wrong. I remember he said to someone else "that could of killed someone" fairs. Then he went for a coffee and waited for more work. 😂
Thank you for your educated comment 😊
Funny how people always mock knowledge that saves lives but love ridiculous things 😂😂
Facts!
Sir I ' m In italy i finished my pharmacy practice level 3 RPL qualification from Midwest college London how wll come and get registration for regulatory bodies, and finde the sponser please help me, my native place is sri lanka

I just got into pharmacy, brother, I get this more often now 😂
Good stuff, thanks buddy
hi, i am in a similar situation rn and i am in y13 doing a levels but i feel like i will get BCC even though i have 5 exams left. i rlly want to get AAB but idk now. i was considering either re-take or complete a foundation year but idk yet. what would you recommend if you was in my situation rn and how did your parents react when you got CCC and wanted to re-take. sorry for asking loads of questions as i am rlly overwhelmed rn with a levels and everything and want to do pharmacy at uni and become a hospital pharmacist inshallah.
There are 30 different reasons, why , a person, ends up a pharmacist. We house a French national , studying in Boston. I knew guys, who just loved pills and dosing. And their friends, who were always in pain. Searching for better. My friend admitted it , as we searched for herbal pain relief. So many pharm assists, are simply, educated self medication security force, lyin’ to them selves.
Man it sucks even the name brand cgms are so far off. I have been using a chinese brand cgm and its rarely accurate but i was hoping the western ones would be more reliable
Are you using the SiBionics GS1?
I wish I could do this by myself, but my mum has to do it for me. Honestly planning on forever living with her at this point 😂
Haha it’s a good plan!
Great short video. Easy to understand.
Does this hurt a lot??
Does the closed loop work with libre2 and OMNIPOD? Didn't know they were compatible
Yes! Just made a recent long-form video on this (Freestyle Libre 2 Plus)!
I HATE THIS CONDITION.
How often do you have to do this
Every three days 😊
@@MicroPharm damn 😮
How does it work like when its clicking

Damn bro. i thought doctors ate healthy and suggested it to thier patients😅
👏🏻
🥴🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the info , l look forward to this in the US , dexcoms drop out after two days on my son . Libre work best with his body type.
Best of luck with the Libre when it is available! 😊
which university did u go to after resitting your A levels?
Surely having the sensor so close to the pump isn't great. That's your problem I'm guessing. Having it on the same side of the body shouldn't be a problem with communication.
It’s actually advised to be close! If it’s on the other arm it will lose connection and you lose the closed loop functionality, I have tried! From omnipod team - “Place the Pod at least 3 inches (7.5cm) from your Sensor site”
Thanks for an insight into Ominpod - Libre loop system. My daughter (5) is also T1D and we have a lot of incorrect readings from Libre 2 sensor. Thinking to switch to Dexcom g6. Good luck!
Thank you for sharing! It’s good to know I’m not the only one!
This was really helpful! I haven't seen too many videos going through the nitty gritty of decisions you have to make every day.
Watch you don't get false compression lows from lying on the sensor.
I didn’t know about this! I will keep that in mind!
Yep, I’ve had this with the libre 2 as well. I don’t get them with the dexcom g6, but I wear that on my inner thigh so maybe that’s why
Cuz is slightly shorter than the others
Wow not many if any vids on the libre 2 plus and Omnipod 5. Thanks for making this. I'm getting my Omnipod 5 and Dexcom G6 in June.
Thanks for the comment! I noticed there was nothing out there, so was really keen to put a video together to share my thoughts! Would love to know how you get on with the omnipod 5 and dexcom G6 😊
Hi, I'm a student about to start pharmacy this year and I'm choosing a uni right now. I've got an offer from the University of Leicester for their new mpharm programme which is quite different to other ones. Can you do a pros/cons video for it and if you'd recommend it?
How is the pay gap between US pharmacist and UK pharmacist so huge. Im in a low cost of living city in Virginia (also 7 years out of school) and I make 150K USD per year or at the time of this post roughly 118K pounds per year.
